Asami - African Tea
Asami 'African Culture' is inspired by natural products based on African roots that are nutritious, better-for-you and support good health. Our products are heritage-based, unique and authentically stirred by shared cultural traditions from Africa, with each product offering a unique story. The refreshing brew will transport you to notable places on the continent of Africa.
This organic tea selection from Mozambique yields a dark amber liquor that is rich with medium body. A honey aroma introduces a hint of dried fruit sweetness. The finish is crisp, velvety smooth, clean and lovely to sip on. Notes of cocoa and a delicate caramel hint complement a sweet and toasty aroma for an enjoyable cup. Nestle amid beautiful white sandy beaches and tropical palm trees on the shore of Mozambique lake you can feel the cool breeze as you sip on this refreshing black tea.
Nusa - Almond Cranberry Nougat
Nusa’s original bakery (called 1000 Layer Bakery) was founded in 2013 by chef and owner Jennifer Huang who grew up in South Sumatra, Indonesia, and began baking as a young girl. When her family immigrated to the Bay Area, Jennifer realized her homeland had little-to-no culinary presence in Northern California -- even though Indonesia is one of the largest countries in the world. This inspired Jennifer to immerse herself in learning how to cook and bake with a humble intention to make her favorite childhood food and desserts for her family. Over time, she learned hospitality management and took professional cooking and baking lessons locally and in Asia that brought her to a career in corporate cafes. Her passion for cooking and baking Indonesian food grew to launch 1000 Layer Bakery as a catering business.
Janie's Pie Crust Cookies
Inspired by Janie’s quest to get the perfectly proportioned bite of pie she invented a cookie where each bite promises the perfect balance. Each bite delivers a flaky crust, a heavenly layer of filling and buttery caramelized streusel. This cookie has won Janie all sorts of awards, made her a Food Network Chopped Sweets Champion and given her a purpose in life!

Yolélé was created to share delicious, vibrant West African ingredients with the world, beginning with the ancient grain fonio. Yolélé was co-founded by Pierre Thiam: chef, cookbook author, global ambassador for African cuisine and culture, and longtime advocate for sustainability and biodiversity. Yolélé’s purpose is to create economic opportunity for smallholder farming communities; to promote biodiverse, regenerative farming systems; and to introduce Africa's ingredients to tables around the world.
In 2021, Yolélé launched their first snack product: Fonio Chips! The chips are made of fonio and cassava and are naturally gluten-free. Each of the four flavors are rooted in West African cultures and cuisines, and inspired by the dishes and ingredients of Chef Pierre's home country, Senegal.

Fawziyya Sugai started gwell with the goal of making more approachable wellness foods available for all. Gwell bites started as a snack she made at home for herself and became a snack her friends and family stole from her frequently. She selected ingredients to help with issues she faced herself, from hormonal imbalance, skin issues, to stress and restlessness. Using natural options she helped herself to find better balance in her life. As a self-proclaimed workaholic who preaches self-care she felt that everyone should have healthy options to find balance.
